Holy Family Parish Staff and School Community,
After meeting with Bishop Malesic, the Bishop has appointed
me as the Administrator of Holy Family Parish effective June 11, 2024,
the day of Fr. Rich’s retirement.
This appointment has been made after meeting and consultation with
parish staff and leaders, as well as results of the parish survey. All were
instrumental in assisting the Bishop and Clergy Personnel Board in making
their decision.
As you know, I have been at Holy Family since June of 2023, coming from
my first assignment at St. Gabriel, Concord Township. I have become well
acquainted with Holy Family Parish and School communities and have
enjoyed getting to know all of you.
As Administrator, I will begin ministry to the parish in this new role and will
have the authority and responsibility of the pastor. After a year, the Bishop
Malesic will consult the parish as to my appointment to the Pastorate.
I want to first thank Fr. Evans for his past years of leadership of the parish
and for helping me into the community. I also want to thank Fr. Spolny,
Deacon Joe, and all of you for your warm welcome over this past year
since beginning my assignment.
Please keep our parish and school communities in prayer in this time of
transition, for Fr. Evans as he prepares for the end of his time at Holy
Family and on to a well-deserved retirement, and for me as I move into this
new season of priesthood and parish leadership.
May God bless Holy Family Parish and School!
In Christ,
Fr. David Stavarz
