Catholic Schools Week is just around the corner! We have a ton of fun things planned for our students, so keep reading to see it all.
Sunday, January 29 – Celebrating the Parish:
- Students will greet parishoners at the weekend Masses handing out cards with information about HFS
- Open House from 9:00a.m.-11:00p.m. which includes a pancake breakfast from the Knights of Columbus
- The Scholastic Book Fair begins and runs through Friday, February 3
Monday, January 30 – Celebrating the Community:
- Dress Up Day – Students are invited to wear nice pants & tops for Mass that are school appropriate
- A HFS Alum will share their story of how their education at HFS & their faith helped them achieve their goals
- Second Quarter Awards Assembly
- Student Council Members will hand out goodie bags to Parma PD Officers
- Students will begin bringing in supplies for Hope & Healing Battered Women’s Shelter (information in another post)
Tuesday, January 31 – Celebrating Our Students:
- Student Dress Down Day – School appropriate (No leggings, ripped jeans, hoodies, etc.)
- Students will enjoy a Character Assembly with Corey Jones
- Students will be treated to a movie – The PTU is providing a treat bad for each student during the movies
Wednesday, February 1 – Celebrating the Nation:
- USA Day – Students & Faculty are invited to dress in red, white & blue
- Students will participate in a USA Kahoot in their classrooms
- Family Picnics will take place in the gym from 11:30a.m.-12:15p.m.
Thursday, February 2 – Celebrating Vocations:
- The school will come together to say morning prayers
- Students will participate in Mr. Brownfield’s Catholic Quiz Bowl
Friday, February 3 – Celebrating Faculty & Staff:
- Faculty Dress Down
- Teachers will spend 20 minutes with another grade & do a fun activity
- Guess Who – Teachers will make collages about themselves & students will guess who made which collage
- The Faculty vs. 8th Grade Volleyball Game
